Hyundai hat die Motorenpalette des ix20 um den 1,6-Liter-Common-Rail-Diesel erweitert.
Die Entwicklung des Diesel-Kompetenzzentrums von Hyundai in Rüsselsheim leistet 85 kW / 116 PS. Der Motor bietet ein maximales Drehmoment von 260 Newtonmetern, das zwischen 1900 und 2750 Umdrehungen pro Minute anliegt. Der an ein manuelles Sechsgang-Getriebe gekoppelte ix20 1.6 CRDi erreicht innerhalb von 11,5 Sekunden aus dem Stand 100 km/h. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit liegt bei 182 km/h. Der Gesamtverbrauch des ix20 1.6 CRDi liegt bei 4,7 Litern (nach EU-Norm). Der Fahrer wird durch die serienmäßige Schaltpunktanzeige beim Sparen unterstützt. Die ab der mittleren Ausstattungslinie Comfort erhältliche „Blue-Variante“ mit Start-Stopp-Automatik ISG benötigt 4,4 Liter (117 g/km CO2) auf 100 Kilometer.
Die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung für den ix20 1.6 CRDi startet bei 17 490 Euro in der Ausstattungslinie Classic. Als Comfort steht er mit 20 320 Euro (Blue-Modell: 400 Euro Aufpreis) und als Top-Variante Style mit 23 020 Euro in der Preisliste.
